Apple stopped including a charging brick and wired earbuds in the box with new iPhone purchases beginning last year with the iPhone 12 series. And while Apple shipped the new 2021 iPhone units sans charger and earbuds, there is one country where Apple has had to include the wired earbuds in the box over the last two years to stay within the letter of the law; that country is France. In France, the government is concerned about children and adults getting RF radiation from holding an iPhone to their earIn France, there is concern that smartphones bombard the brain with radio-frequency…
The ADATA XPG Gammix S70 Blade (starts at $159.99 for the 1TB model, $329.99 for the 2TB tested), an internal PCI Express 4.0 solid-state drive, has amazingly fast throughput as measured by its sequential read and write speeds. It forgoes the bulky, finned heatsink of many high-performance SSDs for a thin but seemingly effective aluminum heat spreader that lets it fit in PS5s as well as laptops. With goodies like a solid software suite and 256-bit AES hardware-based encryption, it’s a clear PCMag Editors’ Choice pick. One Finely Honed BladeAs befitting its moniker, the S70 Blade is thin for a high-performance…

A captain of the semiconductor industry, Gordon Moore co-founded and ran Intel as its CEO. He also made an observation that the number of transistors used on a chip doubles every other year (originally he said back in 1965 that the number of transistors doubled every year; he revised the law in the early 1970s). This is important to note since the number of transistors used on a chip can determine how powerful and energy-efficient that chip is.The latest EUV machine is expected to be released in 2023The latest chipset designed by Apple for the iPhone 13 series is the…
A popular traditional market strategy, “covered calls” involve selling out-of-the-money (OTM) call options, or those with strike prices above the current market level, while owning the underlying asset. It is typically seen as a neutral to bullish strategy, because the upside is capped. A call option gives the holder the right but not the obligation to buy the underlying asset at a predetermined price on or before a specific date. A call option buyer is implicitly bullish, while the seller anticipates a price drop or consolidation and receives a premium for offering insurance to the purchaser. Source Link

Laptops with USB-C ports are now almost ubiquitous, as the world moves away from slower USB-A ports to this faster, more versatile connection standard. Some laptops only have USB-C connections—which means a USB-C hub is essential if you want to connect a wired USB-A mouse or keyboard, or an older wired printer. Of course, it’s also a handy way to add an HDMI connection, an SD card reader, or simply more USB ports for storage. Fortunately, there are so many USB-C hubs available with various combinations of legacy I/O that finding one to meet your particular needs is as easy…
