PC makers have been catering to creative professionals in recent years with a growing number of special designs, and the Asus ProArt Studiobook 16 (starts at $1,599.99) is a great new example. Our configuration of this laptop combines a beautiful 16-inch OLED screen with 4K resolution, a high-end AMD Ryzen 9 processor and Nvidia GeForce RTX 30 Series graphics, and a unique keyboard dial with contextual tool commands for Adobe creative apps. The exact price of our test model won’t be available until closer to its November launch, so we’ll withhold a final judgment and our five-star rating scale for…
Grand Theft Auto 4 – should it get a remaster? (pic: Rockstar Games)The Friday Inbox is unimpressed by the first impressions of eFootball 2022, as one reader is doubtful about the improvements in Far Cry 6. To join in with the discussions yourself email gamecentral@metro.co.uk Four the playersI guess the only question about the GTA remasters now is how much they’re going to charge for it, which I assume will be a lot – at least full price. I’d start complaining but I know fine well I’ll pay whatever it is as long as they’re decent efforts. Bizarre it’s taken…
Fitbit might be taking its time (for some reason) with its sequels to last year’s Sense and Versa 3 smartwatches (if such products are actually in the pipeline), but if you prefer low-cost activity trackers anyway, odds are you’re already pretty happy with what the Google-owned company has done on that front in 2021.Of course, the impressively feature-packed Charge 5 and exceptionally stylish Luxe are far from the world’s cheapest wearable devices, normally fetching $180 and $150 respectively, which is dangerously close to full-blown smartwatch territory. On the bright side, the Fitbit Luxe is today marked down by a cool 50…
The Mobile Pixels Duex Lite ($269) is unlike most portable monitors in that it’s most commonly used joined at the hip—er, hinge—to the laptop it’s paired with. The Duex Lite can also function as a conventional mobile display a cord’s length away from your computer, and Mobile Pixels even sells an optional stand (the $35.99 Origami Kickstand) for this purpose. Still, its primary configuration is to be attached directly to the back of your laptop, extending all the way out from its right side to form a dual-monitor array. Although this may seem like a sensible arrangement, getting the Duex…
Three B’s: It’s big, bright, and built for creators. While MSI is best known for its gaming laptops, its Creator 17 (starts at $2,349.99; $3,799.99 as tested) is an imposing desktop replacement that targets creative pros à la the Dell XPS 15 or the Gigabyte Aero 15 OLED XC. Last year’s version was the first laptop to feature a Mini LED display, and this year’s has the same screen in all its 4K-resolution glory. Hardcore gamers will snub the bright and expansive 17.3-inch panel for its merely average 60Hz refresh rate and lack of Nvidia G-Sync—they can swap out the…

The popularity of blogging (which originally derives from ‘personal web log’) continues, whether for profit, or just to have a voice on the web, since over a decade ago when it first captured the internet as the ‘next big thing’. Some blogs are standalone sites, but others are a more personal section that fits into a larger, corporate website. In order to blog, a blogging platform is required, which takes care of formatting the content in the form of text and images, and provides a framework for getting it onto a website. The blogging platform also makes it easier for a…

Earlier this year Games Workshop announced Warhammer 40K: Chaos Gate – Daemonhunters, a new tactical RPG from publisher Frontier Developments and Winnipeg, Canada’s Complex Games, but we didn’t get any real footage of the game. Well, now we have our first gameplay trailer, and the game is looking pretty impressive, with plenty of the swagger and badassery you expect from a Warhammer game (certainly more than you usually get from a turn-based tactics game). We also get a peek at the game’s character customization and between-battle strategizing. You can check out the trailer for yourself, below. Echo Generation Brings Stylish…
