TL;DR
- Google is launching a 500GB Google One plan next week.
- This is only available to Sprint and T-Mobile subscribers though.
The Google One cloud storage service is available in a variety of options, ranging from 100GB all the way to 30TB. Need more than the existing 100GB and 200GB options but feel like 2TB is too much? That’s where Google’s newest plan comes in.
The company has now announced a 500GB Google One storage plan, but the big caveat is that this offering is in partnership with T-Mobile. So only Sprint and T-Mobile customers can get in on this action.
Nevertheless, the 500GB Google One plan is available from October 12 for $5 a month. By comparison, the 200GB plan (one below the 500GB option) will set you back $2.99 a month, while the 2TB plan (the next one up from 500GB) costs $9.99 a month.
There’s no word on whether this 500GB plan will be available in other countries or if it’ll stay a T-Mobile exclusive. But a 500GB or 1TB option definitely makes sense, as there’s a pretty big storage/price gap between the 200GB and 2TB plans.
